There is nothing wrong with the Freight Train; like, nothing at all; it is a great entry point for new injector vape users and pros alike. But it is focused on a consistent experience and its aim to be usable by beginners - it doesn’t really allow you to engage the supercharger, so to speak. The Freight Train Pro is geared towards those hardcore vapers that demand clouds so big koopa troopas are dropping hammers on you.

The Pro makes those big clouds happen by providing a wide-open air pathway that offers as little resistance as possible. The Freight Train Pro comes with a coil guard included and pre-installed, which is convenient and allows you to get up and going right out of the box. You’re also getting the new integrated heat shield/stand, which is a welcome improvement over the previous generation.
 
While the Freight Train Pro retains the majority of the theory and practice behind the original, and other injector style vaporizers, the Pro is distinguished, and will really put you down for the count. So, whether you’re upgrading from the original, another model, or if this is your first injector vaporizer, you’re about to use the top dog on the market.

Game Changer

I got into dry herb vaping about a year ago when I purchased my mighty+, which was my daily driver for the last year. I wanted a desktop vape that could give me bigger and quicker hits.. I was looking at the Volcano but it was almost $1000 after taxes almost every where i looked. Then I discovered Ball Vapes and went for the Freight Train Pro because it was still a fraction of the Volcano, although expensive it was less than i planned to spend! I paired this with my Mega Globe MK2 and needless to say that my house is now the group sesh spot, everyone loves it! I am now a stoner mad scientist to all my friends! Great white north was great although I was eager to receive it, shipping did take some time since I am on the other side of the country, if you like me get express shipping!

All Aboard! Next Stop Terp Town

Got my Freight train pro and it absolutely ripps. I was a heavy toker and made the change to Dry flower vapes a few years ago. Since then I've acquired multiple Dynavaps, the mighty plus and the solo 2, they are all fantastic. But The Freight train pro is in a league of its own. It delivers tasty hits like the solo 2, has the power of the mighty plus and hits hard like my vong with the armored cap. The price is high but well worth it. This is no toy and should be treated with caution and care, I'd only recommend this if you have the proper place to store and use it safely. I'd hate for a cat or dog to cause a train wreck.

Hits like a freight train...

Flavour isn't as good as the tinymight imo but this thing hits harder with the wide open airflow and it's really nice not having to change batteries all the time. The coil guard keeps things relatively safe (can still burn yourself if you touch the top of the injector head if you're not careful) and the stand looks great on top of doing its job well. Be careful how hard you rip on it and be nice and warn your friends they're about to be wrecked before they try it.

Super Happy I bought this

I stumbled across a video for this and that started my dive down the rabbit hole. After a few days combing the net and checking out the other options, I decided to pull the trigger on this one and have zero regrets. I admit it is a tad pricey, but for the portal vaporizer's i was buying before at 200-250 a shot this works SO MUCH better! Having the extra features of the guard and the stand tipped me to buy this over the regular version. Since this will be used for many many years, i suppose it was only momentary pain but lifetime gain :) Packaged arrived great and on time. I picked up the smaller version of the Cube (9cm one) and a herb catcher, and it works amazing with it. Wish it came with the shovel piece, had i known i would have added it to the purchase. Hopefully will be a sale and will pick it up then.

The Endgame

This thing is incredible. I’ve used all of the main types of Ball vaporizers out there (B0, B1, Qaroma, Taroma) but this one is my favourite hands down. Prior to purchasing, there were 2 main reasons I went with the Freight Train pro. Firstly, the coil guard was absolutely necessary because I can be an extreme idiot sometimes. The coil guard mitigates the risk of burning yourself on the hot coil and makes handling the Freight Train Pro stress free. Also, the wooden base is beautiful and very sturdy. I almost accidentally knocked my whole setup over last night (idiot in action) but the base stayed put which was a relief. Second, I appreciated the machined housing of the injector while maintaining perfect airflow. Competitors have screens on the top and bottom (that work well, to be fair), but I vastly prefer the finished look and feel of the FT Pro. Those were my reasons before purchasing the FT Pro. All of those hold up and now I have even more reasons to love this thing. The wide open airflow is fantastic and allows for hits ranging from small puffs to gigantic face melters. You can really dial in your experience by changing the heat and your inhale draw speed to get exactly what you want out of your session. Cleaning is an absolute breeze - all that is required is soaking the bowl in ISO & cleaning the screen, takes about 5 minutes total. I also give the titanium injector a quick wipe with an iso cloth just for good measure. The ONLY thing I do not enjoy is the fact that the PID heat controller uses single click buttons. When you’re ranging from temps to 500-700, that’s up to 200 clicks. If you hold the button it eventually “fast forwards” but it goes too fast and then you spend just as much time clicking in the other direction to set your desired temperature. A rotary dial would be a massive improvement in this area. This is a very minor criticism but I like to be as honest as possible in my reviews. Overall, the Freight Train Pro so absurdly easy to use while providing the absolute pinnacle of cannabis consumption experiences. If you’re on the edge because of the price, that is understandable. However, once you’ve spent the money, I do not think there is any conceivable way to be disappointed in this device. Also, a huge shoutout to VapeNorth for their customer service. My injector bowl had a slight chip and they replaced it for me with zero issues at all. Glad I continue to support this Canadian retailer.

A Must Own Item

I was taken back by the difference between the og freight train and the pro version, the pro is so much better, not that the original was a slouch by any means. Much better air flow and the biggest clouds i've ever experienced. The thing is a beast and a very worthy addition to any Vape collector. Again a quality service from Sneaky Pete and co.
