Vape Design

The Fury Edge is primarily a convection vape made from that same Kirksite alloy Healthy Rips uses in its other vapes, so the Edge is very tough. It looks almost identical to the Fury 2 except it’s 1cm taller and it has an updated accessory attachment. Now you just load the bowl, pop on the attachment, and any accessory fits directly onto that. The size is not too big or small. The air-path is now 100% stainless steel from the heating element through the chamber and screen leading to a mouthpiece with an internal glass airway.

Usability

easy enough to operate and adjust settings without using the manual

Like the other Healthy Rips vapes, the Fury Edge has a simple three-button operation. One power button, and two temperature buttons (up and down). To turn it on, click the power button three times. It will vibrate to let you know it's on and warming up - no more colored lights - known as a haptic response.

The Edge automatically goes to your last temperature, but the up/down buttons will adjust anywhere from 320F to 430F. The display shows the set temperature, the actual temperature, and your battery level. When it's at the desired temperature, a five-minute session countdown timer will begin (a full minute longer than the Fury 2). The screen will flip if you hold the power button, so it's viewable no matter how you like to us your Fury Edge. The bowl holds around 0.2g and I like to go finely ground for best results.

Battery Life

The battery of the Fury Edge isn’t removable, but in the extra 1cm bulk from the Fury 2, they’ve been able to get another 40% battery capacity. It’s now around 2300mAh - almost double with just a tiny bump in size. Charging is now done through a USB-C cable and port, so juicing your Edge up is lightning fast compared to basic USB charging. There is no pass-through use, but the faster charging will have you vaping again in no time. Heating is very fast, around 20 seconds depending on the temperature setting.

Vapor Quality

clean convection, better with glass stems

The taste from Fury Edge is really clean; the pure stainless steel air-path doesn't color the flavor at all. Burn off wasn't really needed out of the box and there isn't any metallic flavor. It's every bit as good as the Fury 2, maybe better with the glass stem. The vapor is also smooth even with the basic setup, though I do prefer the glass stem when not going through water and I keep it around 365F.

At 395F in a water piece, Fury Edge can produce some nice clouds and I find that hitting a bit slower works more effectively compared to the other Healthy Rips models. The effects are powerful as they should be with convection-dominant vapes. A couple of good water rips are usually enough. A five-minute session does me right for a long while.

Convenience

among the easiest of portables to clean and maintain

The Edge will get good mileage out of your herb, especially with a stir. I get two complete sessions per bowl before I'm changing it out. It's very easy to learn and use on a regular basis and the technique couldn't be more convenient. The new accessory attachment is a huge improvement for usability. You can even swap out accessories mid-session if you want to. Cleaning is straightforward: scrape the bowl if needed, a quick alcohol bath (five minutes max), rinse and air dry for the attachment and mouthpieces. You can also swap out the stainless-steel screens if you want to.

Strengths

The increased battery life and super-fast USB-C charging really improve the entire experience. As much as I love the Fury 2, its battery is lacking. The Edge doesn't share that problem as its battery is a real powerhouse. 

The accessory attachment is much more functional for using a water pipe adapter than the Fury 2. It's also open to outside developers, so third-party accessories are a possibility. 

Fury Edge has many strengths: vibration response, quick heat-up, quick charging, long battery life, tasty vapor that's not too harsh, and it's affordable. There isn't much lacking about the Fury Edge and hopefully it shares the long-term reliability and success that the Fury 2 enjoys.

Weaknesses

The screen is so soft, it'll scratch if you say a curse word, so don't sweat it when yours gets a little nicked up. I can also get better clouds from the Fury 2 through water because I have to slow the pace of my bong hits with the Fury Edge.

Conclusion

a worthy upgrade from the fury 2

The Fury Edge is a worthy upgrade from the Fury 2. The battery, stainless-steel airway and other improvements make an already good experience even better. With the new included accessory attachment and affordable price tag, the new Fury Edge has potential to go far. If I was just getting my first Healthy Rips vape, I'd go with this one over either of its predecessors.

Great little device!

Picked this up for my wife, and she loves it. Great form factor, wonderful build quality, feels nice in the hand, good controls, and very easy to draw from (a huge concern for her, and something she's had problems with in the past w/ other vaporizers). A top-notch choice!

Better for your lungs

I bought the vaporizer beacuse I was concerned about my lungs and other bad effects of smoking. I've switched from smoking to mainly edibles/ vaporizer use and I really like this vaporizer. Qualities: -easy to clean (clean it weekly as reccommended or it will get sticky and won't work as well). -temp guage is adjustable to the degree, this is great if you have different strains or even just a mix of wetter/ dryer buds. I didn't think I'd care about this feature but its really nice to have. - tough design, dropping it is not a worry - comes with many accessories for any use or user - battery lasts all day with all day use -vaped bud can be resued in baking (it works!) Drawbacks: - bit heavy for putting in your pocket. Granted, lady pockets are ****, so take from that what you will. I bought a little smaller vape before I invested in this one and I do reccomend having a wee one to pop in the pocket to take on hikes because this one can be heavy in your jeans.

my new favorite vaporizer

i had the mflb,the arizer air first edition,the argo now i have the crafty+, 2 dynavap with the apollo2 induction heater and i must say i love my new fury edge----good fat clouds, heats under 20 sec,fast charging battery that last much longer than the crafty + .I'm a one hitter-microdoser and with the dosing caps it is the perfect match and the heating chamber stay clean.Small, portable, discreet, made in usa, what more can i say ...it 's everything i'm looking for in a good reliable vaporizer--- great job healty rips

Best shopping experience!

Haven't even tried the vape yet, but man this place was awesome to order from! They answered my price match request immediately by an actual person, order was dispatched the day I put it in, and the vape was at my door the next day. I live in the same city, but still. AND my box had candy in it that was gluten free so I could actually eat it!

I've become the vapor

Wow! My first vape was the pax 3 that I later replaced with a Davinci IQ and all I can say is that the Edge leaves them in the vapor. There's nothing "budget" here, the quality of the plastics are high as you'll be, It's smooth to the touch and the device has a nice weight to it. I also ordered the capsules with it and if there's anything to complain about is that it fits less herbs in it than the Dav IQ. But it's nothing a tactical reload with a full capsule can't remedy, also the cleanliness that comes with using them outweighs any cons for me. Tiny advice; If you want a free screen protector then make sure to rip off only the small tape strip on top of the protector and then just rub of any adhesives left on it. Thanks sneaky team for a smooth transaction to Sweden! I'm a believer!
