I use this with my 2019 Flip Brick at Home, it's only 5" so it's not a very big piece. It's built pretty good, I got this over the bigger double perk version mostly cause it did seem to be built a bit more sturdy and people on Reddit had pictures of the Scorpion with a Flip Brick, so I felt pretty good knowing this was going to work.
I was surprised how small it is and how little water is in it, but also surprised how well it cools the vapor. The Flip Brick is pretty tiny and I feel the vapor is pretty hot from the butane heated air, but the vapor is still pretty cooled down.
I personally liked how direct feeling it is due to the size and if you are using a manual vaporizer that requires some finesse, this piece gives you cooling but ALSO gives you direct feedback to your technique. Very good piece and helped me learn the brick pretty much after the 2nd fill.
Know however, due to the design of it being a tube like this and being smaller, it's not quite as cooling as say a honeycomb 16" piece. This is meant to be a non-cumbersome, mobile/portable solution tho.
It by design also doesn't really stand up on it's own very well and I wouldn't trust it. Definitely get the 14mm Glass Utility Stand (That's what I have. It's a great tiny little disk to secure it off your vape.) if you are using it at home.
Note also that it does produce a slight amount of condensation through the connection (Stand baby!) and because it's such a closed small unit, some water does get trapped in the perc so you gotta blow it out / rinse it with a bit more water to fully clear it.
Also, you do get some bits of wet lips at times if you hit too hard, it's a tiny unit and it's easy to over-rip a vape but also makes it easier to hit with a tiny draw.
Pros:
*Super Small, Discrete. 5" and can easily fit any 5+"/2+" cases/bags for mobile use. Probably the single most discrete water tool I can think of while still being a highly effective mini-bubbler with a mini-bong feel. Can fit in most normal/large sized pockets if need be.
*Sturdy, doesn't feel like Chinese glass or anything, nice weight at the join and the design makes it as durable I think as this tiny design can be. (Definitely wouldn't go dropping this tho.)
*Self-Drains to a decent level, and you can sorta hack a few extra drops in it if you want a bit more by dripping it in very slowly.
*Little to no drag and small size make it a great piece to learn/teach a manual vaporizer because you get direct feedback you can taste and feel temperature, the vapor, thickness and just about anybody, even your grandma could pull a rip through it.
Cons:
*If you want to use mobile, they no longer sell a specific case for this, you need to source a generic or have a case that fits (But it fits in what most people would be using mobile to carry it anyways I believe. NBD)
*Slight amount of condensation at join if you over-rip/hit it hard for a prolonged few sessions. (Use a stand / wipe it with a cloth / depending on your vape you might not want to leave this unit on it overnight or when not in use. lest it drip.) Nature of a tube this small.
*To get it totally empty you need to blow in it/to properly fully refill you need to run more water than is needed. (Not a big deal for the discrete size, again a nature due to how compact it is and that it's a all-in-one tube.)
*as others have mentioned, please DO NOT PUT THIS PIECE IN THE FREEZER. This isn't thick enough or large enough to handle the extreme temperature changes that occur in such a small piece. (It's absorbing a lot of the heat, I can easily see it busting the perc on a really big rip with some bad luck.) Cool water from the tap only. There's no ice effects with this piece.
*This tube cannot be used at any kind of angle past 10° - 15° It's small and so compact it needs to be STRAIGHT for full filtration. Can only be used to expand a larger piece if it has a direct 90° 14/18mm output which is pretty rare and only found in inline 90° bubblers.
I think it's probably the most discrete mobile tube you could use w/ just a tiny amount of water required (Like the size of a bathroom sippy cup/mouthwash cup only, really.)
Or, if your like me and just want a nice tube for home use that is very discrete / easy to use / offered some direct feedback. With a utility stand, it's very hard to drop/accidentally tip over cause it's either on the vape or on the stand, and it's incredibly easy to handle.
