This DynaVap series uses a physical vapour deposition (or PVD) process to get the vibrant and varied colours. Something fascinating about PVD coating is that it is heat reactive. That does not mean that if you run a torch over it the colour is going to instantly change, but if you heat the metal above standard operating temperature until it is red hot, it will cause a permanent colour change in the coating. This opens all kinds of customization options and can give you some crazy looks if you vary your heating technique and the amount of time you spend on any one spot.
Three Styles for your Pleasure
The VerdiuM is new to the line this year and the first thing you will notice about it is that like the RosiuM, it is multi-toned rather than one solid colour. We describe it as green, but the colouring varies when viewed under different lights, sometimes it can look almost completely gold, and the fins on the tip can be very distinctly purple.
The AzuriuM blue coating is gorgeous and complex in its behavior, but consistent in its original colouring. Permanently add to its pattern by heating past normal operating temperatures, causing the coating to transition through a wide number of colour gradients, ranging from magenta to gold and beyond.
Among the three variants, the beautiful RosiuM stem has the most variance, with magenta, gold, blue, and green all in the mix. It will also undergo a colour transition like the AzuriuM when overheated.
